GALLE MARQUETRY WHEEL-CARVED VASE.Galle boat shaped vase has internally decorated body with swirls of white, purple, amber and orange throughout the glass. Vase is further decorated with green, white and purple marquetry Waterlilies all with wheel-carved detail. Swirling band is carved into the base just below the waterlilies following a line of the swirled internal decoration to depict waves in the lily pond. Vase is finished with wheel-carved martele panels to the side of each waterlily. Signed on the side with engraved oriental signature “Galle”. SIZE: 11″ l x 4-1/4″ t.
