*LATE PRODUCTION L.C. SMITH PREMIER SKEET EJECTOR 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN WITH OPTIONS.

SN FWS54449. Cal. 12 ga. 26″ bbls, 2-3/4″ chambers, Skeet & Skeet chokes. Twin beads, raised matted rib. Beavertail forend. Premier Skeet engraved featherweight ejector receiver. Left lockplate engraved with flying bird. Right lockplate engraved with clay pigeon. Selective Hunter One Trigger. Nicely grained straight grip stock with some flame figure. Checkered butt. LOP 14-1/8″, DAC 1-3/8″, DAH 2-3/8″. Automatic safety. Accompanied by a copy of a Wm Brophy signed L.C. Smith letter which describes this gun as configured. Shipped 9/21/1949. Also accompanying this gun is hang tag showing options as described. One of the last 200 guns to come off of the assembly line – perhaps “the last”. PROVENANCE: The L.C. Smith Collection of Gerald Basham. CONDITION: Fine. Gun retains nearly all blue on bbls. Bbl are undinged and undented. Bright unpitted bores. Receiver has vivid case color in protected areas, excellent screws. Trigger bow retains nearly all blue. Checkering on stock and forend is clean and sharp.
