ANTIQUE WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 OCTAGON BARREL FULL MAGAZINE RIFLE WITH CRESCENT BUTT.SN 3723. Cal .32-40, 26″ oct bbl with full magazine. Straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent butt. A very early ’94 rifle made in the first year of production. Bbl has standard 2-line address and standard rear sight. Front sight is a replacement. Cal mark is on top flat of breech of bbl. Receiver has SN stamped at bottom front. Winchester Patent mark on upper tang. Stocks have crescent butt and steel fore-end cap. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube show an even gray brown patina with high-point wear. Sights are good. Bore is dark with strong rifling. Receiver is silver gray patina with light pitting overall. Hammer and lever are a silver gray patina with traces of case color in protected areas. Stocks are very good, slightly undersized and have an old varnish finish. Buttplate is a silver gray patina. Fore-end cap is missing 1 screw. A good example of a first year production 94′ rifle. 50111-10 TEP (750-1,250) – Lot 1130
