Oil on board Housed in a giltwood frame Signed lower left “Gardner Symons”, inscribed on verso “Irene Trevekkow(?), Bronxville NY #23″ NOTE: The Lorillard Snuff Mill (currently known as the Lillian and Amy Goldman Stone Mill) is located on the grounds of the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx, New York. The mill was built in 1840 along the Bronx River by the Lorillard family and is the oldest existing tobacco manufacturing building in the United States. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1976/77 SIZE: 21-3/4″ x 17-1/2”. Overall 29-1/4″ x 25-1/2″ CONDITION: Very good, with scattered retouch 49340-1 (8,000-12,000) – Lot 1128
