WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 ROUND BARREL FULL MAGAZINE RIFLE WITH CRESCENT BUTT, BEECH’S COMBINATION FRONT SIGHT, LYMAN FOLDING COMBINATION REAR SIGHT AND TANG SIGHT.SN 17335. Cal. 38-55. 26″ rnd bbl. Full magazine. Blue finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent butt. Beech front sight has a globe and an “certifiable antique ivory” bead. Rear bbl sight is a Lyman two-leaf folding sight. Tang sight is adjustable for elevation only. Bbl is of a later vintage and appears to be a factory replacement and shows a “WP” circle proof at breech end and also on top ring of receiver. Special Note: This item contains or is made of ivory. This information is located in the front section of our catalog. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube retain 50-60% of the fading blue finish with a few rub marks on top of bbl and slight muzzle wear. Bbl sights are very good. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Receiver retains 10% blue in protected areas with balance a plum-gray patina. There is slight staining on both sides of receiver and slight scratch marks on right side. Hammer and lever are silver-gray patina. Tang sight is very good. stocks are very good and full-sized with miniscule scratching and dents overall. There is a small crack in the buttstock behind rear tang. Buttplate is silver-gray patina as is forend cap.
