CHAIN DRIVE MOTORCYCLE ATTRIBUTED TO DISTLER.

What appears to be a really nice all-original windup motorcycle with a chain drive and an eccentric gear drive that alternates the direction of the front wheel. When the toy is wound the chain drive engages the rear wheel propelling the toy forward while the driver swerves slightly to the right and then back to the left. The lithography is vibrant & bright and overall condition is very fine plus. A rare motorcycle, especially with front wheel alternating direction embellishment. SIZE: Approx 7-3/4″ l. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: Lower support bar behind driver’s leg going to center of rear wheel has slightly heavier chipping to litho. 1-14770 (1,000-1,500) – Lot 1126
