3 GERMAN TIN AUTOS.Three interesting automobiles. The first being a G&K car with a seated lady in the rear. When the toy is wound it rolls along the floor. The lady in the rear actually lifts her right arm which contains a handful of flowers. Nicely lithographed in a light blue with white and red highlighting. Car also has simulated spoked wheels and trademark G&K symbol is on both rear doors. Overall condition is good, the car would benefit greatly with a good cleaning and polishing. The following two cars are of an unknown maker. Similar pictures are on p. 34-35 of the Ottenheimer Toy Auto Book on page 34. The larger of the two vehicles is a rear entrance torneau and the second vehicle is an open air limousine with a simulated rag top roof which is in a top down position. Mr. Soling often times would add additional seated figures to a vehicle when none were provided by the original manufacture, such as the case with this vehicle. Overall, condition is good to very good. Interior coloring has darken somewhat and perhaps a good polishing and cleaning would enhance the overall appealing of the toy. SIZE: Approx 6″, 7-1/2″ & 6-3/4″ l respectively. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: As stated above. 1-14782 (700-900) – Lot 1122 Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll Auction - Fall 2014 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
