*LOT OF 2 WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINES FROM AN OLD TEXAS RANCH.

SN 873416/1028466. 1) Cal. 30 WCF. 20″ bbl. 3/4 length magazine. Blue finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with checkered pistol grip and checkered forend. Winchester sling eyes and carbine butt. Marble front sight and ladder rear sight. Receiver has been tapped to mount a scope. Holes have been filled with screws. This is a very rare configuration for a carbine. 2)Cal. 30 WCF. 20″ bbl. Blue finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with carbine buttplate. Ramp front sight with brass bead. Carbine rear sight. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: 1) Very good. Bbl and magazine tube retain 90% blue finish turning somewhat plum toward muzzle. Sharp crisp bbl markings. Sights are very good. Bore is dark with strong rifling. Receiver retains 40-50% blue finish overall with carry wear mostly on right side of receiver. Hammer and lever are a plum-brown patina with some erosion on bottom of lever. Stocks are very good and full-sized with sharp checkering and minor scratches and dents overall. Pistol grip cap is very good. Buttplate retains 10% blue finish. Bbl band is a plum-brown patina with traces of blue. A very nice, hard to find 94 Deluxe carbine with many special order features. From an old Texas collection. 2) Good. Bbl and magazine retains 30-40% blue finish with some marring on top and some muzzle wear. Markings are sharp. Extra hole drilled on top of barrel in front of rear sight. Sights are good. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Receiver retains 20% blue blending to brown patina with carry wear. Receiver has been tapped for a sight. Hammer and lever are brown patina. Stocks are very good and full-sized with numerous scratches and dents and one large chip on the comb of buttstock. Buttplate retains 20% blue turning to plum patina with heel and toe wear. Bbl band is silver-gray patina. Forestock has been notched 12 times in front of bbl band.
