CASED ADAMS PATENT DA PERCUSSION REVOLVER.

SN 6113. Cal. 46. Blue finish with 6-1/4″ oct bbl, tiny dovetailed front sight and fixed rear sight in top strap. Top strap, with the integral bbl is marked with the manufactures name & address and right side of frame with the Adams Patent information. Frame is lightly engraved with foliate arabesque patterns. Cyl is unfluted & five chambers. Mounted with checkered 1-pc walnut grip that has engraved buttcap and hinged-lid cap box. Accompanied by what is probably its orig green baize lined English oak case compartmented for the revolver, a Dixon bag-shaped flask, an orig brass bullet & ball mold with sprue cutter marked on right side with the company cartouche, the SN “1057” & “50”, an ebony handled nipple wrench with nipple pick in the butt, and ebony & brass cleaning rod that has concealed worm. Also included are three additional brass cleaning jags and a large bore worm from another tool. Inside the lid is the orig paper label. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl & frame retain about 80% glossy orig blue with the loss areas mostly from flaking and chemical spot near the muzzle; trigger guard & buttcap are a grey/brown patina; cyl is a blue/grey artificially aged patina with vise marks. Grip is sound showing light wear. Mechanics are fine. Strong bore with moderate to heavy pitting. Case has three or four grain checks in the bottom, otherwise is sound. Interior is moderately faded & soiled. Flask retains about 75% orig finish. Mold is extremely fine, showing strong blue on sprue cutter.
