PERCUSSION FULL STOCK RIFLE. NSN. Cal. .30, 39-1/2″ oct. bbl marked “WI” on top. Curly maple stock, very plain. No patchbox or tail pipe and only one ramrod pipe at the front of the stock. Ramrod is a replacement. A letter accompanying the gun, dated 1932, gives some history for this gun claiming it was made by Joseph Breakfield in Robertson County, Tennessee and giving other history. CONDITION: Rust-brown patina over all with moderate to heavy pitting at the breech. Hammer is possibly replaced. There are some repairs around the lock. 4-47053 FS743 (400-600)
