BURGUN AND SCHVERER CAMEO VASE.

Burgun and Schverer vase is decorated with purple and white wheel carved flowers with green cameo stems and leaves, all against an internally decorated background of maroon swirls within a frosted light green ground. The vase is further decorated with random cameo and gilt pinwheels as well as random patches of martele. The vase is finished with a band of cameo icicles descending from the lip. Signed on the underside with gilded thistle mark “Verrerie D’Art de Lorraine BS & Co Depose”. SIZE: 5-1/2″ t. PROVENANCE: From a prominent Midwest collection. CONDITION: There is some minor roughness to high points around the outside edge of the foot and one polished area on a stem in the same area near the foot all appear to be from the making, otherwise very good to excellent. 51158-45 (6,000-8,000) – Lot 1113
