TIFFANY STUDIOS MOSAIC PEACOCK CHANDELIER.

Tiffany Studios chandelier has peacock feather mosaic pattern done in iridescent favrile glass with colors of pink, blue, purple and green. This design is finished with a green swirled peacock eyes. The iridescent favrile glass is set against a solid bronze flat conical shade. The chandelier is illuminated by an early 6-socket cluster and is suspended by three bronze chains and is completed with a translucent opalescent ball shade in the center. The hardware is not original Tiffany. A similar shade is pictured in the book The Lamps of Tiffany by Dr. Egon Neustadt on page 67, photograph number 96. In Dr. Neustadt’s description, he states that no other shade like this was known at the time. This shade was originally found in a warehouse in New Jersey. SIZE: 36″ dia. Approx 27″ from ceiling to bottom of ball shade. PROVENANCE: From an Unreserved Texas Estate. CONDITION: Very good to excellent.
