*WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 OCTAGON BARREL FULL MAGAZINE SPORTING RIFLE WITH CRESCENT BUTT AND TANG SIGHT.

SN 600568. Cal. 44 WCF. 24″ bbl. Blue finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent butt. Sheard Rocky Mountain blade front sight with Marble mark. Sight mortise on bbl has been filled. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl shows gray-brown patina overall with high point and muzzle wear and carry wear at breech end. Markings are clear and sharp with an extra circle P proof at breech end of bbl. Magazine tube retains 80% dull blue finish. Front sight is very good. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver is a silver-gray finish overall with some blue in protected areas. Hammer and lever are a silver-gray patina overall. Rear sight is very good. Stocks are very good and full-sized. Stocks show minimal dents and scratches overall. Buttplate is silver-gray patina as is the forend cap.
