EARLY GALLE ENAMELED VASE.

Boat shaped vase in a light green translucent background glass is delicately enameled with multicolored forget-me-not blossoms and cream colored flowing lines of blowing wind with gilded accents. Vase is also decorated with an enameled and gilt band around the top rim with enameled “porte en mon souvenir un parfume de tendresse” which translates to “bear in my memory a tender fragrance”. Vase is signed on the underside with enameled “Galle depose”. SIZE: 11″ w x 4-1/2″ t. PROVENANCE: From a prominent Midwest collection.
