*WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 SADDLE RING CARBINE “TRAPPER” MODEL WITH 15″ BBL.

SN 977103. Cal. 44 WCF. 15″ rnd bbl with “certifiable pre-ban ivory” bead front sight. All other features are standard for this model. PROVENANCE: The Timothy Scott Collection. Special Note: This item contains or is made of ivory. Do not bid on this lot unless you have read and agreed to our "Ivory Position Statement" and the "Waiver of Legal and Financial Risk to James D. Julia in regards to your Purchase of an Ivory Object." This information is located in the front section of our catalog. CONDITION: Very good for this model. Bbl retains a slight amount of blue in protected areas with staining and slight pitting on top forward end. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Magazine tube shows 20% blue finish drifting to a plum patina. Receiver is a gray-brown patina overall with some bright blue on the tang and in protected areas. Saddle ring shadow is present on left side. Hammer and lever show a gray-brown patina. Stocks are very good showing a old oil re-finish and are slightly undersized at the wrist. Buttplate and barrel band show a gray-brown patina. This is a very good example of a Trapper carbine in better than average condition. 50071-18 TEP C&R; IVORY (4,000-6,000) – Lot 1082
