*WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 TAKEDOWN RIFLE WITH SHOTGUN BUTT.

SN 153419. Cal. 33 WCF. 24″ bbl. Blue finish. Rnd bbl. 1/2 magazine takedown. Lyman “certifiable antique ivory” bead front sight. Straight grained American walnut stocks and Winchester shotgun buttplate. Special Note: This item contains or is made of ivory. This information is located in the front section of our catalog. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 80% dulling blue finish with some marring and stains. Front sight is somewhat battered. Markings are sharp. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver retains 10% blue in protected areas with some frosting to the finish overall. Bolt is bright blue. Hammer and lever are a pleasing plum patina. Stocks are very good and are slightly undersized with a fresh coat of varnish over a few mars and scratches. Winchester hard rubber buttplate is very good with one small dent. A very nice 1886 Winchester rifle in a rare configuration. 49971-42 TEP C&R; IVORY (2,000-3,000) – Lot 1077
