PAIR OF GERMAN POOL PLAYING TOYS.The first most likely manufactured by KiCo featuring dueling pool players. A clockwork mechanism would allow the players to alternately shoot the ball towards the other player. A somewhat unusually toy in the fact that it has two players. Bright lithography and overall in very good plus original condition. Mechanics are in working order. A larger version perhaps by Gunthermann, this dapper looking fellow will shoot a ball bearing and try to register in one of the seven holes on the table. Nice lithography most notable to the player himself and as is typical slight variation in coloring to players outfit. This is not due to fading this is just normalcy of assembling toys when original lithography was done on separate days. Mechanics are in working order. SIZE: Approx 8″ and 7-1/2″ l. respectively. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: Overall very good plus for both toys. 1-14698 (450-650) – Lot 1077 Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll Auction - Fall 2014 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
