SN 133574/147144A. 1.) Cal. 33 WCF. 24″ rnd bbl. 1/2 magazine. Takedown. Blue finish with straight grained American walnut stocks and Winchester hard rubber buttplate. “Certifiable antique elephant ivory” bead front sight, sporting rear sight. This rifle has a Cody Firearms Records Office letter confirming all features and showing shipment on August 5, 1905. 2) Cal. 33 WCF. 24″ rnd bbl. 1/2 magazine. Solid frame. Blue finish with straight grained American walnut stocks with Winchester hard rubber buttplate. Marble 31M front sight. Special Note: This item contains or is made of ivory. This information is located in the front section of our catalog. CONDITION: 1) Very good. Bbl and magazine retain 80% bright blue finish turning somewhat plum toward muzzle with slight muzzle wear. Sights are very good. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Bbl markings are crisp and clear. Receiver retains 20% blue in protected areas with the balance turning an even gray-brown patina. Bolt retains 80% blue. Hammer and lever retain 50% blue with some stain on bottom of lever. Stocks are very good with numerous scratches and dents under a light coat of varnish. Buttplate is very good with clear logo, sharp checkering and a few dents. A very good 86 takedown rifle. 2) Very good. Bbl and magazine retains 60-70% blue finish with some staining and muzzle wear. Sights are very good. Bore is dark with strong rifling. Bbl markings are sharp and clear. Receiver retains 20-30% blue finish with the balance turning to a plum-brown patina. Bolt retains 20% blue. Hammer and lever are a gray-brown patina overall with some erosion on bottom of lever. Stocks are very good showing numerous dents and scratches overall commensurate with age of rifle.
