WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 OCTAGON BARREL FULL MAGAZINE RIFLE WITH CRESCENT BUTT.

SN 108007. Cal. 45-70. 26″ bbl. Blue and case colored finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent butt. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube retain 40% fading blue finish with high point and muzzle wear. Front sight is good. Rear sight has been cleaned. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Receiver is a gray-brown patina with traces of case color in protected areas. Hammer and lever are a gray-brown patina. Stocks are very good full-sized with a coat of old varnish. Stocks have handling marks overall. Buttplate retains silver-gray patina with wear at heel and toe. Forend cap is a plum-brown patina.
