GALLE MARQUETRY STOPPERED BOTTLE.

Galle marquetry bottle has pink and red free form marquetry inlays and is wheel carved with the marquetry inlays adding color to the center of two flowers, the remainder of the front side of the bottle has wheel carved stems and leaves, two of which at the bottom of the vase have light green marquetry edges. All against a clear shading to cream background. The bottle is further decorated with martele as well as covering the top of the domed stopper. Signed on the backside with engraved signature “Galle”. SIZE: 6″ t. PROVENANCE: From a prominent Midwest collection. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with some typical bubbles in the marquetry shards. 51158-64 (8,000-12,000) – Lot 1066
