WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 ROUND BARREL FULL MAGAZINE RIFLE WITH CASE COLORED RECEIVER AND CRESCENT BUTTSTOCK.

SN 94576. Cal. 38-56 WCF. 26″ rnd bbl. Full magazine. Blue and case colored finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain 40-50% blue overall with some staining on top of bbl and on the front end of magazine tube. Markings are sharp. Sights are good. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver retains 50-60% bright case color finish overall with carry wear on the bottom and some slight erosion on top right side. Hammer and lever retain 50-60% bright case colors turning to silver on the lever loop. The case color is vivid on the tang under the lever. Loading gate shows considerable fire blue and bolt retains 90% blue finish. Stocks are very good and full-sized with marring and scratching overall and some dark staining toward the butt. Buttplate is a gray-brown patina. Forend cap retains 40% case color with some staining on the right side. A fine example of a case colored 86 round bbl rifle. 49971-32 TEP (5,000-8,000) – Lot 1065
