MOSER DECORATED & APPLIED WALL POCKET.

According to the Klabin Collection book; this wall pocket is the top section of a letter box. The wall pocket is done in clear glass and decorated with an applied sculptural eagle surrounded by brightly enameled oak leaves. The eagle is perched upon an applied sculptural oak branch and the pocket is further decorated with a large number of applied acorns. The oak leaf and acorn decoration extends around to the back of the wall pocket. Wall pocket is pictured in the book Moser Glass: The Klabin Collection by Gary D. Baldwin, pg. 23, plate 24. SIZE: 9-1/2″ t x 12-3/4″ at widest. PROVENANCE: George Klabin Collection. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with one small acorn missing on the backside and one acorn on the front side missing its bottom half. 5-67468 (2,000-3,000) – Lot 1062
