*INTERESTING HEAVY WEIGHT PARKER BROTHERS DHE 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN.

SN 158569. Cal. 12ga. Chambers 2-3/4″, 32″ Titanic Steel bbls, concave matted rib with twin beads. “3” frame. Chokes FULL/FULL. Splinter type forend. DH engraved ejector frame with game dog scenes engraved both sides, a four duck scene engraved on floorplate and balance of DH style scroll work Dbl triggers. Straight grip, skeleton buttplate. Blank initial oval on toe line. 14-1/2″ LOP. DAC 1-5/8″, DAH 2-3/4″. Gun has no safety. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Jim Beckley. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 80% of their blue finish with thinning towards breech end from carry. Several minor dings which do not seem to appear inside. Repair to forend lug which appears sound. Bbls ring nicely. Bores are bright with slight pitting and evidence of polishing. Strong DH markings. Receiver has faded back to a gun metal grey with slight color in protected areas. Some screws marred and several replaced. Stock and forend exhibit very nice color and pronounced grain. Both buttstock and forend have had professional refinish. Checkering is slightly smooth. Right side of stock where it joins the receiver and top tang has been pinned and repaired with a professional restoration. Both top tang and trigger bow tang sit proud of wood. Butt checkering has been refreshed. Skeleton buttplate gun metal grey with worn engraving. Forend checkering is lightly worn yet very nice. Top lever at center. Gun is tight, ejectors are strong.
