TWO MOSER APPLIED BIRD VASES.

1) Moser amethyst shading to clear vase is decorated with a sculptural applied and nicely enameled bird resting on a tree branch. Trunk of the pine tree is also sculpted and enameled and background trees are enameled in browns and greens. Vase has a plain undecorated backside. 2) Moser amethyst vase has square shape with slightly bulging sides and is decorated with applied sculptural enameled ducks in flight on one side and sculptural applied enameled pheasants on the opposite side. Enameled background of forest, pond, and trees encircles the entire vase. Vase #1 pictured in the book Moser Glass: The Klabin Collection by Gary D. Baldwin, pg. 25, plate 27 and vase #2 is pictured on pg. 37, plate 42. SIZE: 1) 8″ t. 2) 5-1/2″. PROVENANCE: George Klabin Collection.
