Great pair of automotive toys from the 1920s vintage. A fairly large litho tin truck of American manufacture from the 1920s era. T.F.S Co., possibly standing for Ferdinand Strauss(?). Great litho, the truck has a seat cab with driver & a simulated box storage area with operational tailgate. Clockwork/windup mechanism intact & in functional working condition. The toy overall is very fine plus to near mint original condition. As is typical with these toys, slight variation in coloring on litho but not from fading, just the way it is. A great toy that is seldom found, especially in such noteworthy condition. Second toy being a Speed Boy 4 delivery motorcycle manufactured by Marx in the 1920s/30s era. This toy has wonderful lithograph as well, and for the most part, is in virtually unplayed with, very fine plus to near mint original condition. Clockwork mechanism intact & functional and in comparison to most toys of this nature, this toy is fairly large measuring approx 10″ overall. Another great example, especially in such wonderful original condition. SIZE: Approx 10-1/2″ & 10″ l respectively. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling.
