Large Galle marquetry vase has orange, purple and white marquetry wheel carved crocus flowers against a cream colored background with red and pink random vertical stripes. The vase is further decorated with an applied band around the foot with trails from the band climbing up the side of the vase, the applied band is backed by copper foil inclusions and wheel carved. Signed on the front with an oriental style engraved signature “Galle”. SIZE: 17″ t. PROVENANCE: From a prominent Midwest collection.
