*EXTREMELY RARE 34″ PARKER BROTHERS DH GRADE STRAIGHT GRIP SHOTGUN WITH NO SAFETY.

SN 169159. Cal. 12ga. Chambers measure 3″, have been opened, 34″ Titanic Steel bbls per encircled “T” mark on water table. “2” frame. “Period of use” ventilated rib added. Sgl front bead. Choke MOD/FULL. Splinter forend DH style non-ejector action. Engraved with dog scene on each side of receiver, four duck vignette on floorplate and balance with DH style scroll. Dbl triggers. Straight grip stock with thick comb and solid red recoil pad. Blank initial oval on toe line. 13-3/4″ LOP over solid red pad. DAC 1-3/4″, DAH 2-3/8″. Safety button slot on upper tang has been filled and engraved. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain nearly all of their reapplied finish. Evidence of solder affixing rib to bbls for 1-1/2″ ahead of breeches. Bores show evidence of polishing, light pitting remains. No dings or dents evident. Standard DH type markings. Receiver has faded to gun metal grey with engraving relatively sharp and clear. Floorplate slightly darker than frame body. Screws show evidence of turning. Trigger bow is faded to grey with good engraving. Straight grip buttstock has been sanded. Metal slightly proud of wood. Side cheeks and teardrop not sharp. Checkering pattern is strongly evident. Wood refinished. Splinter forend wood appears to be a high quality professional replacement. Forend metal parts are orig and matchng. Forend checkering very nicely executed. Top lever is slightly of center. Gun locks up tightly and operates crisply. A rare, unusual long bbl Parker with a specific use intended. 50606-8 TJW (2,500-4,500) C&R – Lot 1058
