WINCHESTER 3RD MODEL 1873 SADDLE RING CARBINE WITH CRESCENT BUTT.SN 135222A. Cal. 44 WCF. 19-1/2″ bbl, blue finish. Straight grain American walnut stocks. Bbl has 2-line Winchester address in front of rear sight. Bbl has been set back at breech, eliminating the cal mark. Front sight is a carbine sight. Rear sight is a sporting sight. Receiver has “Model 1873” stamped on upper tang with finials. SN is stamped on lower tang behind lever. Dust cover is missing. Saddle ring is replaced. No cal mark on elevator. Tang screws are replacements. Lower tang is replaced. Buttstock has crescent buttplate and is probably from a different rifle. CONDITION: Fair. Bbl has a gray blue patina overall. Cal mark is sharp. Sights are good. Bbl bands are missing screws. Bore is dark with traces of rifling. Receiver is a mottled gray blue finish overall. Upper tang mark is sharp. SN on lower tang is slightly washed out. Elevator has been cleaned. Stocks are good, under-sized, and have been cleaned. A true survivor with parts of at least 3 different Winchesters. 50111-21 TEP (600-800) – Lot 1052
