LOT OF NINE POWDER HORNS. 1) 11″ plain horn, screw top, missing the base. – Good. 2) 8-1/2″ plain horn, lightly turned mouth, slightly domed base. – Several short splits, some insect damage. 3) 7″ plain horn with turned oct. mouth. – Heavily worn, missing carrying ring, large chip at mouth. 4) 7-3/4″ plain horn, turned ring. – Partially delaminated, partial insect damage, scraped at the base. 5) 11-1/2″ plain horn with turned mouth. Nailed pine base. – Several cracks and light holes. 6) 6″ plain horn with turned mouth. – Crudely finished, moderate insect damage. 7) 8-1/4″ plain horn with oct. mouth and turned wood base. Marked “JSP/1842”. – Some light splits. 8) 7″ crudely finished horn with hand whittled mouth and saw cut 1-1/2″ from mouth. – Wood base is split and missing splinters, side is unfinished. 9) 9-3/4″ plain horn, oct. mouth. – Heavily varnished, several splits at mouth. 4-47330-127 FS600 (300-600)
