PREWAR JAPANESE ROADSTER WITH PASSENGERS.

Visually a great prewar Japanese tin toy that could be easily mistaken for German manufacture. An open roadster with a goggled driver and his female passenger attired for the drive in the country. Vibrant superclean litho with number “20” on the radiator and “Made in Japan” printed on backside of car directly behind driver and passenger. Visually an attractive toy and a great size, 7″ for a prewar Japanese toy! Simulated spoke tires and a clockwork mechanism (key turns but spring does not catch) on the underside. A really neat toy and a seldom found opportunity to buy a prewar Jap toy, especially in pristine condition. SIZE: 7″ l. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: Overall very fine plus, slight scuff here or there but not offensive. 1-14730 (800-1,200) – Lot 1049
