PERCUSSION HALF STOCK RIFLE. NSN. Cal. .38, 32-1/2″ oct. bbl. This rifle was assembled using earlier parts. The patchbox is engraved “J*E*Jr” which probably would indicate one of the Early or Earnest family as it has a Somerset/Bedford patchbox. CONDITION: Rust-brown patina on the bbl with heavy pitting at the breech. Lock has been ground and contoured. Stock has been broken and poorly repaired in front of the lock. Lock is not working. 4-47429 FS297 (400-600)
