HILLIARD UNDER HAMMER BUCK AND BALL GUN. SN 96 on top of the bbl and 1551 on the triggerguard tang. Cal. 55, 26-3/16″ round bbl, marked “D. H. HILLIARD/CORNISH/N.H.” in front of the rear sight and “A G AMSDEN” on the bbl tang. The latter, possibly for the repair to the hammer. CONDITION: Rust-brown patina over all. Ramrod pipes have been re-soldered. Nipple and ramrod are replacements. Stock has been lightly sanded and re-oiled but has several dents and scratches. 4-47233 FS672 (250-500)
