WINCHESTER 3RD MODEL 1873 OCTAGON BARREL FULL MAGAZINE RIFLE WITH CRESCENT BUTT.

SN 239184B. Cal. 44 WCF. 24″ oct bbl, full mag, straight grain American walnut stocks with crescent butt. Bbl has standard 2-line Winchester address in front of rear sight and cal mark at breech. Receiver has “Model 1873” with finials stamped on upper receiver. SN is stamped on lower receiver. “44 Cal” is stamped on elevator. Stocks are unmarked. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and mag tube have an even plum/brown patina overall with high point wear and some blue in protected areas. Markings are sharp. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Sights are good. Receiver has gray/brown patina overall with considerable traces of blue around sideplates, hammer and trigger. Markings are sharp. Elevator has a lightly cleaned mustard patina with a clear cal mark. Hammer is a silver/gray patina with sharp checkering and slight traces of case color. Lever is a silver/gray patina with very slight trace of case color in protected areas. Stocks are very good, full sized and show only minor handling marks overall with the worst damage on the forend at the carry point in front of the receiver.
