CHURCHILL PERCUSSION UNDER HAMMER RIFLE. NSN. Cal. 45, 24″ oct. Remington bbl marked ‘O CHURCHILL ALBANY” behind the rear sight. Otis Churchill worked in Albany from 1839 to 1860. Unusual side opening square patchbox on the right side of the tiger maple stock. CONDITION: Gray patina with live rust and many dents. Front ramrod pipe is a recent replacement. There are no springs in the action. Stock is held to the tang with two large stove bolts. 4-47234 FS673 (200-400)
