McGann & Sons Co., Boston, MA” Note: Waldo Peirce was the son of Bangor Maine lumber baron, Mellen Chamberlain Peirce. The studio of Alzira Peirce contained several plaster casts, leading to the attribution of this work to Alzira, however, it is also possible that Waldo was the creator. T.F. McGann & Sons, was an ornamental bronze work foundry in Boston SIZE: 14″ h x 8-1/2″ w x 10-1/2″ d.
