The rectangular cigarette case signed “Napier Sterling 600/” has two spring clips to open inside. Hinged lid with closure. The top has applied pieces which relate a story. The pieces relate to actors and actresses that were connected with WWII and its time period. The items include: A black cat with “Wyatt” (Jane Wyatt); Family crest for Director Ray Taylor; Small gold airplane (Capt. Wing Keye Luke); Pair of breasts marked Sugie for Lana Turner; A “V” with morse code (ST for Sidney Toller). LARGE CARVED MAHOGANY VICTORIAN BANQUET TABLE. This magnificent large Victorian banquet table features a wide foliate, deep carved rim around the top and a split pedestal base with foliate carved knees and deeply detailed ball and talon feet. Pedestal splits and has hidden center support. SIZE: Approx. 54” dia. CONDITION: Original finish (alligatored), one small cylindrical hole in the top. Base worn in places. 9-25700 (1,000-1,500)

VERY ELABORATE VICTORIAN MUSIC CABINET. This tall and ornate Eastlake transitional Victorian music cabinet has a fully carved crest, beveled mirror back, turned wooden spindles on the side and simulated gargoyle or dragonheads in the top crest. Each of the two rectangular doors have applied gesso ornamentation with musical motif. The cabinet on legs has a shelf below, two full length vertical doors which open to reveal six birch or maple pull out drawers. The patent date tag on the lower drawer indicates that it was patented in 1892. The cabinet is of hardwood with a mahogany colored finish. SIZE: 19-1/2” w x 14-1/2” d x approx. 62” h. CIVIL WAR ERA DECORATED DRUM BY WILLIAM SEMPF, NEW YORK. Circa 1860. Inside label “William Sempf Manufacturer of Base and Snare Drums 209 & 211 Grand St, New York…”. An oval stamp is also inside stating “Dixie White Olaf”. This is located on the drum head. There is a pencil signature next to the label “76 TSU”. Outside of the drum has black decoration to the outside wood bands. Central band decorated with eagle and shield. The outside rope appears to have been replaced. The drum was owned by Frank George Horton who was the son of George Horton. Birthplace Cattaraugus County, New York around 1840 and settled in Illinois. It has descended in the family. Frank George Hor ton enlisted June 2, 1862. Discharged September 27, 1862 at the age of 21. 57th Co. Regiment of Illinois Bols Infantry. He re-enlisted for an unknown period of time afterwards.
