Additional Information: Tiny fleck on eye lid appears to have been done during manufacturing. A microscopic loss on the other eye also.

UNUSUAL UNMARKED STEINER BEBE. Although incised with nothing other than “5” this doll is unquestionably from the Jules Steiner firm and has all the characteristics of a so-called “Series A Bebe”. Her well defined upper lip is what makes one think that she could be from this Series as well as her well modeled ears, small eye cut with blue-gray paperweight eyes and nicely painted eyelashes and eyebrows. Body is also typical Steiner although the hands have an unusual and more well defined shape than normally found on this period doll. She has been simply but appropriately redressed in a long white robe type off-white dress with cut out design and her antique camel colored leather shoes and a replacement cork pate and cut down brown human hair wig. SIZE: 27″ (67cm). CONDITION: Very good. Body retains original finish. 1-11622 (4,000-6,000)
