**STEYR-SOLOTHURN S1-100 MACHINE GUN (C&R).

SN 12910. Cal. 30 mauser. 7.9″ bbl, model S1-100 as manufactured by Steyr-Solothurn for export. (Registered as #1291) Includes 3 mag in orig brown leather case. Leather case maker marked “SRA 1936” and with cartouche (STOLLA). Gun is registered as SN 1291 but upon close examination is actually 12910. This can be requested for correction upon transfer. Bolt, top cover and receiver number match. Steyr logo on top cover. This example does not have Nazi proof marks. Has provision for bayonet on shroud. Mags fit properly in mag well. The Steyr-Solothurn was produced by the Rheinnaetall in the Steyr factory in Austria. The “o” suffix denoted Austria and served to keep it from being confused with an entirely different submachine gun which was designed by Bergman. The Steyr-Solothurn was issued in significant numbers to German and Austrian police forces during WWII, and was also issued to military personnel concurrently with the MP38 and MP40. Several thousand of these machine guns were sold to the Japanese which utilized them with their special naval landing forces. This gun was a US GI bring back and subsequently sold to noted firearms collector Bill Morrison. Which theater of operations this guns was captured in is unknown. This cataloger knows personally of a Veteran who bagged one when he escaped from a POW camp in 1944. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. Orig finish thinned on shroud and top cover with some evidence of pitting where the receiver meets the stock line on both sides. Stock has numerous gouges and handling marks but is completely sound and serviceable. There is one 1/2″ x 1/2″ chip immediately to rear of receiver. Exterior of bbl has lost just about all orig finish and is in the white, however the bore is very fine. Bolt face is very good. Bolt itself is shiny and bright. Mechanics are fine. Interior of receiver could use a cleaning but is otherwise in very fine serviceable condition. Buttplate has significant brown uniform scale corrosion but this does not detract from the attractiveness of this firearm. This gun appears all matching. Orig 32 rnd .30 Mauser mags in excellent serviceable condition with nickel finished follower. Brown leather mag case has some spots of green mold just starting along seam, which preservation treatment should remedy. The brown leather is somewhat worn but the stitching is tight and leather is completely serviceable and still soft to the touch. This firearm is a fine example of quality machining and fitting from the time before the transition to stamping metal parts. **COLLECTIBLE GERMAN WWII ERMA EMP MACHINE GUN (CURIO & RELIC).

SN EMP 77873. Cal. 9mm. 10″ bbl. Fine de-activated specimen of the WWII era German EMP machine gun as manufactured by ERMA. Eagle over “N” proofs visible above SN in rcvr, and on matching bolt handle. Bbl has been plugged with weld and orig bolt ground off both square and at angle at ejector groove with extractor welded to bolt face. Safety lock right side of receiver tube is missing two of its attachment screws. Included is undamaged spare bolt with SN range of export contract with plum shaped bolt handle. Otherwise SN of bbl, mag housing, and bolt matches. This gun was apparently miss-registered upon orig registration the “7’s” and “1’s” look alike enough to be confusing. Actual SN is 17813. Request for correction to registry is up to the buyer upon transfer. The ERMA EMP machine gun is a select fire weapon which saw use primarily as a police or second line weapon during WWII and exhibits high quality manufacture with distinctive vertical wooden grip. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is very fine, orig lustrous blue finish with some scratches to the metal and some dings to the wood, together with some bruising particularly in the area of the vertical handgrip. Bbl plugged with weld and welded to housing with weld built up significantly from chamber mouth, bolt ground off as noted which accommodates this build up, however this gun is registered as a live machine gun. Mechanics are functional, subject to conditions notes. Bolt safety has a tendency to stick. Unable to determine condition of bore due to welded chamber. Mag appears completely serviceable. Spare bolt turning a brown patina in recessed areas, more so toward the bolt face but should polish up just fine. Screw slots all show evidence of turning. **EXCEPTIONALLY RARE WWII HUNGARIAN MODEL 43M MACHINE GUN (CURIO & RELIC).

SN A5604. Cal. 9mm Mauser (9x25MM). 16 5/8″ bbl. A truly exceptional specimen with matching visible numbers. Hungarian Model 43m was designed BY Pal Karaly. This model utilized the innovative feature of a folding magazine housing which would pivot forward so that the magazine would be under the stock, parallel to the bore line when not in use. This model also incorporated a folding metal shoulder loop of stamped metal with wood panels on both sides to provide comfort to t he firer during cold weather conditions. The stock utilized a pressed thumb latch at the rear of the receiver and employment is very positive. The fold-away magazine is accomplished by pressing forward on the latch at the rear of the magazine housing, and when in the forward position a spring-hinged cover protects the open magazine well from foreign material. This well cover spring is somewhat weak, and the dust cover is not held tightly against the well currently, an easy fix with a new spring. Likewise with the coil spring, which would hold the magazine in its horizontal position. The 43M incorporates a blowback design with a large diameter recoil spring, reminiscent of the MP18 with an interesting safety / selector which is a rotating collar at the rear of the receiver tube. 2 orig 40-round stick magazines are included, as well as 28 rounds of Boxer primed recently manufactured 9MM Mauser cartridges.This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is very fine to extremely fine, with a mixture of refinished and unrefinished parts. Bbl and forearm retention band, magazines and shoulder loop assembly are orig finish. The bbl and handguard retention band exhibiting a fine lustrous blue with some slight pitting. Metal of nosecap and shoulder are fine with scattered light corrosion under gray blue finish. Magazine well is apparently a replacement, and exhibits heavy pitting under gray, smooth refinish. In striking contrast is the extremely fine, smooth gray Parkerized finish of the receiver tube, bolt and trigger assembly. One magazine a pleasing gray patina with some slight pitting, the other very fine, smooth gray finish with wear to gray patina at high edges with scattered light pitting. Mechanics are crisp, bore is extremely fine, clean and brilliant. Wood is fine to very fine, with some chips and dings, but still quite attractive. The Hungarian Model 43M utilizes the powerful 9MM Mauser cartridge and saw service on the Eastern Front during WWII. Fully transferable specimens in this country are exceptionally rare, and this is an excellent find, considering especially that the SNs match between stock and receiver, and in view of the fact that the bore is near pristine. 53162-1 JWK (30,000-50,000) C&R – Lot 1028

**HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER GERMAN C.G. HAENEL MP43/1 MACHINE GUN (C&R).

SN 7828B. Cal. 7.92x33mm. 16-1/2″ bbl. Receiver manufactured by “cos” (Merz Werke), with eagle over 37 Haenel final proof, and marked “MP43/1”, and dated 43, making it an early specimen of its kind, with a heavy MKb(42) barrel. Note distinctive un-stepped barrel and “long” muzzle nut. Other parts such as gas block and bbl also have Haenel proof mark. Of interest the matching bolt was made by “ar” (Mauser). The piston of the carrier is also matching and made by Mauser with the carrier retaining only a Haenel and Nazi firing proof. External SN’s match. Orig taller profile buttstock measures 5-1/2″ heel to toe. Includes four orig mags one of which marked MP43, the others MP44. Also includes one complete trigger housing assembly with internals without grips, SN 6570. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval for transfer. CONDITION: Overall appearance of orig finish is very good with some scattered areas of light minor brown pitting to more pronounced pitting on right side of receiver to the rear of ejection port, and also to front of grip frame. Good bore, unfortunately uncleaned for a significant time with some moderate pitting. Mechanics are fine, rear of mag housing assembly above pivot point where handgrip meets receiver has two drilled holes which do not seem to effect serviceability. Wood is in fine orig condition with handling marks and dings. Mags range from good to very good condition with orig finish. A scarce matching variation of an orig MP43/1 right down to one MP43 marked mag is certain to attract the interest of both collectors and shooters. 52925-1 JWK (22,000-30,000) C&R – Lot 1029

**HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE GERMAN WWII STG 44 MACHINE GUN (CURIO & RELIC).

SN 3283ai. Cal. 7.92 x 33mm. 16-1/2″ bbl. J.P. Sauer mfg. STG 44 with final assembly in 1945. Registered as 3283a, but actual SN is 3283ai. Marked also in addition to “ce” on bottom of receiver, with Fleming and Wyandott, OK address. Bbl was mfg by C.G. Haneal with mostly Merztwerk subcontracted sheet metal parts. Buttstock hardware is a renumber from 4095. Hand grip is SN 3269ai marked underneath buttstock housing. Bolt carriers non-matching. Bolt is 3269 in electro-pencil on left side. No bolt cut-out indicating this bolt is of the earlier configuration, still completely correct and acceptable for this late war production gun. Rear sight is marked “69” on side. Buttstock profile is 5-1/2″ from heel to toe. One “MP44” Nazi proofed mag is included. Front sight hood not present. Laminated wood buttstock retains discernible letter proof mark in sling recess. Registration form indicates “Germany” in manufacturer’s block 3. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. Orig dark blue lustrous finish on bbl and receiver with somewhat duller, yet orig finish on bbl heat shield and stock hardware thinning at the high points and with some dings to gray patina. Trigger housing and mag exhibit light gray phosphate finish, typical and expected from guns manufactured in this vintage. Buttstock hardware at rear of heel and toe also a phosphate finish turning to a pleasing gray patina. Wood grips and buttstock are fine with typical handling marks and some bruising. Mechanics are crisp and smooth. Exceedingly fine, bright brilliant bore. Serial evidently a Waffenmeister renumber with the last two-digits overstriking there predecessors. The STG 44 is the ancestor of all modern assault rifles which use an intermediate cartridge. The revived availability of ammunition of these guns has prompted many collectors and shooting enthusiasts to rediscover what a wonderfully comfortable and fun gun this is to shoot. **BERETTA MODEL 38A SUB MACHINE GUN (CURIO & RELIC).

SN 3606. 9mm. 14″ bbl. This Beretta was manufactured in 1943 and includes one 40-rnd magazine. SNs match on visible metal parts. Wooden stock SN does not match. Marked on top of receiver “MOSCHETTO-AUT.-MOD 38A-CAL.9-BREVET. N.828-428/P.BERETTA-GARDONEV.T-ITALIA-1943-XXI”. This highly successful machine gun utilizes two triggers, the forward trigger fires the weapon in semi automatic mode while the rear trigger fires it in full automatic. The sight radius is relatively long and provision to be able to fire in semi automatic mode aided in this weapon’s effectiveness. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or form 4 as Curio & Relic eligible. PROVENANCE: The class III weapons formerly on loan to Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. CONDITION: Overall finish and appearance is good. Receiver is almost devoid of any finish and appears polished. End cap and bbl shroud retain about 60% blued finish while bbl visible through shroud retains about 80% of its gray finish. Magazine well retains a higher percentage of finish with some slight pitting. Trigger guard retains about 60% of its finish thinning to bare metal at high points. Two small trigger guard retaining screws are not present. Buttplate has some surface rust over about 50% of its finish. Buttstock has numerous handling marks and some chips and gouges and one 2″ long crack on left side running rear to front about halfway through stock. Magazine retains nearly all of its smooth dark blue finish. Mechanics are fine. Bore has strong rifling with quite a bit of shine and some light pitting. Bolt face is extremely fine. **BERETTA MODEL 38A SUB MACHINE GUN DEWAT CAPTURED AT SELZ, FRANCE WINTER 1944-45 (CURIO & RELIC).

SN 2199C. 9mm. 9″ bbl. This Beretta model 38A has matching numbers on all visible parts including bbl, receiver and wooden stock. Marked on top of receiver “MOSCH-AUT-PBERETTA-CAL.9-MOD.38A”. No forward sling loop present. One orig magazine present. Bolt functions properly within receiver with proper spring tension, however chamber has been filled with weld and fluted bbl spot welded to receiver at 6 o’clock position forward of magazine housing. This weapon is currently unserviceable. Captured from Germans by 2nd Bn. 276th Inf., 70th Inf. Div. at Selz, by Task Force Herren, France winter 1944-45. Included in this lot are copies of the original documentation authorizing the weapons exit from the European Theater of Operations, a certified copy of the original amnesty registration form, evidence that this weapon was on display at the Army War College Museum, and a document which states that this weapon was used as a display prop in the film Taps (1981) in the movie home of the General portrayed by actor George C. PROVENANCE: Personal Collection of B.G. (RET) Theo C. Mataxis, Veteran of WWII, Korea, Vietnam, & adviser to Afghanistan forces fighting against Soviet occupation during the 1980s. CONDITION: Overall finish and appearance is fine. Over 90% of its dark military blue finish remaining with some loss of finish to high points, and with some pitting, particularly around trigger guard and with some scratches. Bolt and bolt face in extremely fine condition. Wooden stock has numerous dings, bruises, scratches and handling marks but is still completely serviceable. Weld plugging chamber does not seem to have cut very much, if at all, into the chamber itself. Metal has been discolored from heat where bbl is spot welded to receiver. Some discoloration and loss of finish to receiver tube opposite ejection port, incidental to chamber being welded. In this cataloger’s opinion it would not take a great deal of effort to bring this gun back into firing condition. 52924-5 JWK (8,000-12,000) C&R – Lot 1032

**RARE FRENCH MAS MODEL 1938 MACHINE GUN (CURIO & RELIC).

SN F32472. Cal 7.65mm French long. 8 3/4″ bbl. This is an exceedingly fine condition specimen of the rare French MAS 1938 machine gun, which includes 2 orig magazines. Marked on left side of receiver with cal, maker, model and SN. Buttstock number does not match receiver number. This handy little machine gun incorporates flip-up rear peep sights for either 100 or 200 meters. Front sight rib not present, leaving only a groove. The innovative charging handle rides in recessed grooves cut into the side of the receiver. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or form 4. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is outstanding. Orig smooth gray Parkerized finish with absolutely clear markings on receiver. Much duller finish with gray patina at the high points on stock hardware and magazines. Stock exhibits a crack running parallel to the bore line, running from buttplate 8 7/8″ forward. This does not affect serviceability. Stock also exhibits maker’s cartouche on right side and has numerous dings and light handling marks. Wood grips also show light handling marks. **HIGHLY SOUGHT INTEGRALLY SUPPRESSED STEN MK III MACHINE GUN (FULLY TRANSFERABLE).

SN 7810. Cal. 9mm. 11-1/4″ bbl. This is a Sten Mark III marked on top of magazine housing “STEN. M.C.MK III” and marked on left side of receiver with SN and “FAKTS MOD T”. Left side of body of suppressor below front sight is “7810S/FAKTS”. Exterior receiver numbers and number on bottom of magazine well does not match. This gun was manufactured and registered on a single tax stamp by Fred Kasse. The suppressed Sten was manufactured for use by special operation forces during WWII. Original specimens are exceedingly rare, so no doubt Fred Kasse made this one so that he and others could enjoy it as both a representative specimen and also as a recreation piece. It includes one blued steel 32 round magazine and one magazine loader marked “AUSTEN / 9MM / MAGAZINE FILLER / DC” and the other magazine loader is a contemporary loader. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish very fine, smooth, grey, green finish as refinished upon remanufacture with some light pitting underneath the finish on both sides of the receiver. Cal. 9mm. 7-1/2″ bbl. Extensive Sten machine gun parts lot with 3 parts kits, less tube parts, with no ejector included, but each kit does included bbls, mag housings, and packets with small internal parts. No mags present. Additionally, there are the following parts beyond what is in complete sets: 1 tubular detachable shoulder stock, 4 trigger housing assembly frames with forend covers, 3 mainsprings, 3 bbls, 2 trunnions with perforated shrouds, 2 bolts, additional bag with recoil cups and numerous internal parts, including springs, selectors, etc. Three Sterling saw cut parts kits without tube pieces but do include 8″ bbls, bolts, hand grips, and folding stock assemblies. **ACTION-ARMS MINI UZI WITH FLEMING REGISTERED MACHINE GUN BOLT(FULLY TRANSFERABLE).

SN U 163. Cal. .9 MM. 7 7/8″ bbl. Fleming registered bolt in Mini Uzi host gun SN MC 01025 with fold-out shoulder stock. Bbl manufactured with compensator cuts. Fleming address, co-located with action arms address on underside of receiver and also on top of bolt. Includes 1 oil lube bottle, brush, cleaning rod, take-down key and 1 20-rd magazine. The Mini Uzi, w/ its folding stock, is a very compact yet effective firepower package w/ stock extended. It can be quite controllable and accurate in the hands of a practiced shooter. SN 102158. Cal. 9mm.10-1/2″ bbl. Fantastic Group Industries HR4332 (Uzi) registered receiver Vector Arms gun which includes orig box, sling one 25 rnd magazine, warranty slip and operation manual. Swing out folding shoulder stock at rear of butt with both Group and Vector markings on left side of receiver. The Uzi sub machine gun is a highly effective platform and quite accurate at longer ranges in the hands of a practiced shooter. 1) CEINER UZI. SN UZI-0BK43. Cal. 9mm. 10-1/2″ bbl w/o suppressor. Especially nice and desirable Uzi model “A” registered bolt machine gun with screw on suppressor. Both bolt and suppressor are registered by Ceiner. Suppressor screws on over existing bbl once bbl retention nut has been removed. Four 25 rnd and one 32 rnd mags included in this lot as well as the bbl retention nut for when suppressor is removed. 3-position selector/safety marked “A,F,S” with typical Action Arms and IMI Israel markings on right and left sides of receiver. Host gun is SA 09051. Pulled out shoulder stock deploys properly. This ensemble will require two $200.00 transfer tax if being transferred on an ATF form 4. Bore is shiny and bright, baffles of silencer are quite clean and shiny. Mags are extremely fine with 25 rnd mags having a gray finish.
