CARVED SALMON TROPHY MOUNT.

Circa 1902. The carved and painted male salmon of 26lb 2oz taken from the River Dee in 1902 mounted on a mahogany plank with molded edge and bearing two labels, the first “C. FARLOW & CO LTD. FISHING ROD MANUFACTURERS”. The second label “MCINDOE & SONS PERTH”. SIZE: 16″ h x 50-3/4″ l overall. FABULOUS CARVED & PAINTED 45″ SALMON.

The finely painted salmon mounted to a painted green wood backboard with black edge & breadboard ends. Having a printed tag “Caught on/Upper Stobhall/River Tay/Weight, 30 lb/25th, February 1933″. SIZE: 15″ x 49”. CONDITION: Fish has one hole through tail which probably was a mounting hole, there are five mounting holes in backboard, two scuffs with paint loss to backboard.
