Nasturtium pattern (this pattern is shown in the original Duffner Catalog from 1906 in which it was called the Roman) is comprised of beautifully textured glass in hues of yellow, gold and amber with foliage represented in various shades of green with white striations to deep amber. Irregular bordered shade is supported by a four socket base with an elongated neck, bulbous stem and acanthus leaf decorated saucer foot. GORHAM LEADED TABLE LAMP. Very pretty irregular border lamp depicts roses and rosebuds in pink to striated white glass, having green variegated foliage, and is completed with white vertical panels to the top with a band of pink diamond-shaped panels. Shade is supported by a two-socket base of Art Nouveau styling with acanthus leaves starting at top of stem and unfurling to platform base. Base is complete with matching, decorative, finial. SIZE: Shade is 16″ dia. Lamp is 20″ t. CONDITION: Shade is very good with several hairlines and some old solder restoration. Base is very good with two replaced sockets. GORHAM LEADED TABLE LAMP. Fully leaded, irregular border, shade has dark green to light green shaded glass in the geometric panels and Art Nouveau stems of the alamander floral pattern. This floral design is constructed in beautiful mauves and amethyst hues. The shade is supported by a bronze base of high Art Nouveau styling with four exaggerated feet supporting a bulbous stem and is decorated with a complimentary floral pattern. The base carries a desirable patina finish along with two sockets and acorn pulls. This lamp is attributed to Gorham because of the small aperture which was a trademark feature of this company. Irregular border shade is decorated with peony flowers to lower section in striated glass of reds, purples, and rose with a heavily textured geometric background and ends at the irregular border in deep greens and blues. SUESS LEADED TABLE LAMP. Parasol-shaped shade has green swirled geometric-type panels in glass of striated green, blue, and purple and is decorated with a stylized fleur-de-lis pattern to midsection. Shade is further decorated with an ornamental Art Nouveau design to the lower border. The colors used in these two designs are vibrant oranges, pinks, and yellows with purple, blue, and green intermixed. The shade is supported by a three-socket base of simple Art Nouveau styling with a raised, fluted, foot set atop a large circular platform. The lamp is completed with an open work top cap. RIVIERE LEADED TABLE LAMP. Irregular border grape lamp features grape leaves and clusters over the entire shade. Grapes are comprised of red highly texturized glass with the leaves being an assortment of deep earthen hues as well as a few intermixed bright pieces of green glass. All of this is on a haphazard leaded white glass background. Shade is supported by a three socket base with grape leaves applied to circular foot. Unsigned. SIZE: Shade is 18″ dia. Lamp is 25″ t. AMERICAN LEADED FLORAL TABLE LAMP. Attributed to Riviere, the leaded shade has a continuous pattern of five-petal pink striate glass flowers to the center section as well as the apron. Surrounding these flowers are haphazard shapes of green striated glass as well as purple and amber. The shade is supported by a three-socket base of simple Art Nouveau styling. SIZE: Shade 18″ dia. AUSTRIAN OWL LAMP. Chunk-jewel lamp has an antique brass finish and begins with a pith helmet shaped shade with many chunk jewels in colors of sunset orange, deep green, red, and amber. The shade is further decorated with hand-strung beaded fringe in gold. The shade is supported by three arm which extend up from a full figural owl base with glass eyes, intricately detailed body, and talon feet which cling to a rock formation that is also the base’s platform; surrounded by more chunk jewels. CHARLES SCHNEIDER PHEASANT LAMP. Very nice Charles Schneider lamp done in the shape of a rooster pheasant features a leaded glass body with heavily rippled blue and green glass at the wings and beautifully mottled rose and purple colored glass down the center of the back with amber and brown glass on the breast. The head, tail and feet are cast bronze and nicely detailed and all rest on a cast bronze base. Base is impressed “Charles Schneider”. Bronze is finished in a rich brown patina. SIZE: 24″ l x 15″ t. AUSTRIAN ART GLASS LAMP. Representing the epitome of the Art Nouveau period, this Austrian lamp begins with a globular shade that is decorated with a blue pulled feather design on a gold snakeskin ground. Shade is supported by a single socket bronze base that is decorated with clusters and buds as well as a leaf pattern all in high and low relief. Base carries a desirable deep green and brown patina finish. SIZE: Lamp is 24″ t. AUSTRIAN PEACOCK LAMP. Outrageous brass lamp is decorated with a jeweled spider and lizard to top of shade with hanging bead work in green, purple, and orange. DAUM WINTER SCENE LAMP BASE. Nice Daum lamp base has winter scene depicting barren trees extending from a snow covered ground set against a mottled orange and yellow background. GALLE ETUDE MARQUETRY VASE. Wonderful large size Galle vase has marquetry flowers, stems and leaves against a swirling brown and cream colored background. The tall slender vase is finished with a three cornered mouth and while the marquetry flowers, stems and leaves are beautifully executed, they have been left uncarved. Vase is signed on the side with hand etched signature “Galle Etude”. SIZE: 12-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Etude pieces are pieces that received some type of damage in the heating and cooling process that was necessary in making marquetry pieces. When a piece received a stress fracture or other problem, but was still deemed by the factory to be a quality artistic work it was signed “Etude” and released for sale. This vase has a stress line in the bottom and some roughness to the surface of the glass on the interior but is truly an exceptional work of art. 5-60314 (12,000-15,000)

GALLE ETUDE MARQUETRY VASE. Truly outstanding Galle marquetry vase has purple, blue and yellow flower with amber stems and pale green leaves inlaid into an amber shading to frosted shading to purple background. The single flower and purple bud are beautifully wheel carved. Vase is signed on the side with engraved “Galle Etude”. Etude pieces were fine examples of marquetry work that received some type of damage in the manufacturing process, generally caused by heating and cooling the glass at different times. If a piece was an exceptional example, Galle would sign it “Etude” noting that there was some damage from the making but he felt that it was an exceptional piece worth being put on the market and carrying his name. Vase is accompanied by its original presentation box with brown leatherette exterior and white satin interior. Interior top of the box is marked “Gay & Perrin 71. Avenue D’Antin Paris”. SIZE: 7″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. There is an interior stress line that runs vertically on the side of the vase but does not appear to break the surface. Massive irregular border shade is decorated with roses in highly textured glass in colors of reds, pinks, and oranges with heavily striated glass in deep greens, blues, and purples representing the foliage; all set against a soft green ground. The light color of the background shows the roses very nicely. Shade is supported by an equally massive six-socket base that ends in a stylized floral petal design with allover chocolate-brown patina finish. JOHN MORGAN & SONS GRAPE FLOOR LAMP. Very nice John Morgan & Son grape leaded shade has a top section of twenty vertical bent panels leading to the wide skirt of the shade which has alternating grape clusters and four petaled flowers. Grape clusters are made up of purple and red cabochon jewels and are bordered by nicely rippled green shaded glass. Shade rests on a floor lamp base with acanthus leaf decoration at each of the four feet and four hammered panels leading up to the three sided stem and finishing with a three socket cluster. Beautiful contemporary lamp from the Studio of Joseph Porcelli has all over floral pattern in a multitude of rich colors; including royal purple, blues, reds, oranges, and emerald green is surrounded by heavily textured glass that dances with life when properly illuminated. The flowers depicted include lilies, roses, and azaleas. The shade is supported by a bronze lamp base which carries a desirable green-brown patina finish. WILKINSON LEADED GLASS TABLE LAMP. Very pretty irregular border shade begins with large, softly striated, green background tiles with four areas having mauve tiles. Spread amongst these tiles are flowers in various stages of bloom in vibrant red, yellow, orange, and peach; constructed of heavily textured glass which sparkle when illuminated. The foliage is shown using various textures of glass, ranging in color from spring-green to deep bluish-green. Completing the shade is a band of yellow striated glass encircling the aperture. The shade is supported by a very ornate Art Nouveau base carrying a dark chocolate brown patina finish. The base is complete with three sockets, acorn pulls, lock-on cap, and finial. WILLIAMSON LEADED TABLE LAMP. Handsome, fully-leaded, table lamp represents the epitome of the Art Nouveau era with its repeating pattern in greens, ambers, and red with rum-hued jewels and scrolling ribbon design. The shade is finished with an intricate border of complimentary glass and a band of amethyst. Shade is supported by a three-socket bronze-hued base with an ornate garland design to center shaft and a floral pattern in high relief; all on a circular foot. WILKINSON LEADED FLORAL TABLE LAMP. Shade has a large apron of highly textured cats-paw glass in vibrant hues of red, orange, yellow, and pink; with many shades of green representing the foliage. The upper portion of the shade is constructed of large panels of chartreuse and amber glass. The shade is complete with a trademark Wilkinson lock-on cap. Supporting the shade is a highly ornate base of Art Nouveau styling; complete with three sockets, pull chains, lock-on top cap, and finial. The entire lamp carries a dark patina finish. RARE WILKINSON LION LAMP BASE. Very interesting and rare Wilkinson lamp base has four seated lion feet with attached octagon shaped platform supporting an octagon shaped stem leading to a two socket cluster with acorn pulls. Base is complete with a green finish. Base is pictured in an old Wilkinson ad in the book Mosaic Shades Vol. II by Paul Crist, pg. 244. To our knowledge, this is the first one of its kind to surface. REVERSE PAINTED JEFFERSON SHADE ON HANDEL BASE. Shade is reverse painted with a landscape design featuring a lake, shrubbery, and trees in full foliage against a subdued yellow sky. The entire shade is painted in earthen hues. Supporting the shade is a three-socket base of simplistic Art Nouveau styling; complete with pull chains, top cap, and finial. JEFFERSON REVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP. Nice Jefferson table lamp has reverse painted scenic design of a lake or river with trees, shrubs and grass along the shoreline leading to a yellow and blue sky. Shade is signed on the interior “2360 Jefferson” with artist initial “M”. Shade rests atop a decorative metal base with a stylized leaf design on the foot leading to a slightly bulbous body and long slender riser supporting a two socket cluster. SIZE: Shade is 16″ dia. Lamp is 21″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. Shade has small chip on the inside lip which appears to be from the factory as the painted decoration covers the chip. LEADED DOME TABLE LAMP. Closed-top leaded shade depicts a floral pattern in bright white glass set against a green and blue haphazard pattern over all. The shade is supported by a very light weight ring base with antique brass finish and single socket. The shade is being attributed to Whaley, although we cannot verify this. SIZE: Shade is 10″ dia. GALLE MOLD BLOWN VASE LUMINAIRE. Very interesting Galle mold blown vase features pink and amber mold blown tulips with dark amber stems and leaves set against a frosted yellow background. Vase is drilled in the bottom and mounted with a single socket and brass or bronze floral foot. Vase is signed on the side in cameo “Galle” and the bronze foot is stamped on the underside “Made in France” and “Ovington New York”. While it is quite often assumed that vase forms converted to luminaires were done after market. The fact that the bronze foot is stamped Made in France and also carries the Ovington New York stamp would be a strong indication that this was made by Galle for the Ovington firm in the period. EARLY GALLE CAMEO BOTTLE. Very interesting Galle bottle is done in translucent amber glass with cameo design of an outline of a king and his court looking down upon a workman. Each side of the bottle has a cameo design of leaves, stems and berries while the back of the bottle has what appears to be a cameo inscription possibly in Arabic. Bottle is internally decorated with a diagonal band of gold foil inclusions across the front. Signed on the side in cameo “Galle” and dated “1884”. SIZE: 7-1/4″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with a tiny chip on an extra piece of glass near the applied band at the neck. PAIR LEADED GLASS HANGING LAMPS. Leaded glass shades begin with alternating lengths of fiery red glass atop green striated vertical panels with another band of red and green glass. The apron is leaded with a floral pattern, each flower having five petals, in pinks, oranges, and purples with variegated green glass representing the foliage. The shades end in an irregular border. Each shade has hanging canopy and a single socket. SIZE: 24″ across. CONDITION: Very good. Very pretty table lamp has dome shade decorated on the obverse with a tropical island scene of palm trees, flowers and plants against a frosted, shading to yellow, shading to blue background. Very pretty table lamp is both reverse and obverse painted with a reverse painted scene of a moonlit winter landscape with a snow covered ground and mountains, trees and stream in the foreground. Shade rests on a decorative metal base with vertical ribbing on the foot and an ivy-type plant climbing to a ball in the center of the riser. TIFFANY STUDIOS ARROWROOT TABLE LAMP. Artistically rendering the life-cycle of the tapioca-bearing Arrowroot plant, this shade’s focal band is comprised of spring green glass panels, mottled with darker green and white and shaped together as a stylistic rendering of the root formation. The geometric glass in earthen hues of the apron serve to represent the soil which fosters the root. Between and below each root are brilliant white flowers with yellow centers; the flower of the arrowroot plant. Finishing the shade are geometric bands to top and bottom rims and when its textured glass is properly illuminated, the shade virtually dances with the life it depicts. The shade is supported by a green, bulbous, pottery base of organic form; having a highly stylized pattern which complements the arrowroot pattern of the shade very well. The base is fitted with a three-socket, ornate, bronze canister and is complete with riser, wheel, and pierced top cap. Electrical cord extends from the base of the stem; and not through bottom of pottery base. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios New York”. Base is marked with the Rookwood trademark “1072B”. Multi-hued green geometric background glass shades from soft green to a much darker apple green with streaks of blue and is accented by a scroll work pattern, referred to by Tiffany Studios as a Tyler Scroll. This design is comprised of striated glass in every imaginable shade of rum, amber, butterscotch, and green. The shade is completed with a band consisting of three rows of glass which compliment the coloration of the Tyler Scroll. Shade is supported by a massive bronze three-armed base with oil fount wicks and burner. The base has a large circular foot with an ornate Art Nouveau decoration that extends upwards into vertical ribbing and is finished with a complimentary design to canister. All of this is on a frost ground. The large bell-shaped shade is supported by a gold harp base which encompasses the shade perfectly and has a single stem support above a ribbed circular foot. TIFFANY STUDIOS DRAGONFLY TABLE LAMP. Conical shade is encircled by seven dragonflies with heads pointing downwards and having outstretched wings which overlap. The striated opalescent glass segments of green, pink, red, and white which represent the wings have a heavy granite texture which gives off a truly sparkling effect and are covered with brass filigree with each dragonfly having pressed glass jewels for eyes. The bodies are constructed of opalescent green mottled glass in seven segments. The dragonflies are set against a vibrant yellow, amber, and white striated opalescent glass. Finishing the shade is a single band of geometric glass to the top and three at the bottom. The shade is supported by a three-armed bronze base that is heavily decorated and rests on four padded feet. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios New York” and numbered. PAIR OF TWO-ARMED TIFFANY SCONCES. Rare pair of highly decorated bronze sconce hardware with two arms carries a desirable chocolate brown and green patina finish with hints of red. The decoration is an artichoke pattern to the main supporting arm that we have never seen before on a sconce. This pattern was generally reserved for highly-valued Library vases. These two-armed sconces support four Tiffany Favrile glass tulip shades. The tulip shades have varying decorations of a pulled-feather pattern. The color of the shades varies. The shade is supported by a bronze base which carries a desirable dark brown and green patina finish and is decorated with tobacco leaves. An ornate geometric pattern is repeated three times in high relief on the stem and footed platform. TIFFANY STUDIOS LEADED FLOOR LAMP. Handsome shade begins with a warm yellow geometric upper section that is striated with white, cream, and amber hues. The shade is decorated with a Greek Key border constructing in various shades of green, amber, and yellow glass. The shade carries a desirable patina finish and had three original reinforcing lead lines which are part of the geometric pattern and are not seen from the exterior. Supporting the shade is a six-socket Tiffany Studios undecorated junior floor base which rests atop four padded feet with a bulbous saucer bottom and a single, think, elongated shaft. The base carries a very desirable green-brown-red patina finish over a statuary patina finish. Completing the lamp is a pierced top cap with teardrop finial. TIFFANY STUDIOS TABLE LAMP. A belt of blossoms in the Dogwood pattern rests slightly below the midpoint of shade. The band of dogwood flowers is comprised of translucent, yet fiery, glass in every shade of pink imaginable. Further accenting this design is foliage represented by a multitude of green-hued glass. Some of this glass is striated with hints of blue while other pieces are heavily mottled. The upper portion of the shade is constructed in muted mottled pinks and lavender with touches of yellow and green. This same coloration is used in the bottom three linear rows, as well. When lit, this shade speaks of Spring time through its lively colors. Shade is supported by a bronze, three-armed, single socket base of Grecian form. Each of the five lily pads is wheel carved giving them depth the definition. The bowl is topped with gold favrile flower frog with double rows of applied loops on a vertically ribbed body. Bowl is marked on the underside “4493M Louis C. Tiffany Furnaces Inc Favrile” while the flower frog is marked on the side of the foot “5-#6 L.C.T. Favrile”. TIFFANY STUDIOS SEVEN LIGHT CHANDELIER. Large bronze chandelier has a single center shaft encircled by six slightly smaller shafts extending from a circular bronze ring. The hardware is complete with a beaded ceiling cap. The entire chandelier has a desirable green-brown patina finish. The chandelier is finished with seven matte lemon-yellow shades, six of swirled stalactite form and one globular shade which affixes to the center shaft.
