TIFFANY STUDIOS RONDEL. Extremely pretty Tiffany rondel has gold iridescent finish leading to a stretched rim. Rondel shows beautiful bands of red and green iridescence. Beautifully displayed in a contemporary square black frame with black matte surrounding the rondel. TIFFANY STUDIOS POPPY TABLE LAMP. Beautiful sunset poppy begins with heavily mottled and striated pieces of glass in oranges, opals and yellows with variegated green foliage. All of this is set against a heavily mottled background glass with an organic feel. The poppy centers are constructed in mottled and striated blue pieces of glass while the foliage ranges from vibrant green to oceanic blue. The three row apron is made up of two rows of beautiful aqua blue glass with the center row complementing the background glass perfectly. The filigree of the leaves is applied to the underside of the shade while the exterior of the filigree represents each center of the poppy. Shade is supported by a simple three socket Art Nouveau Colonial style base that carries a statuary bronze finish. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios New York”. Base is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 533”. SIZE: Shade measures 16” dia but is considered to be a 17” tuck-under. Overall height is 22”. CONDITION: Shade carries a wonderful patina finish and is overall very good with very few, if any tight hairlines. TIFFANY STUDIOS FLOWER FORM. Spectacular large flower form has green pulled feather design extending the entire length of the stem and expanding out to encircle the bowl. The applied inverted saucer foot has rich gold iridescence with flashes of green and red. The opal-white cup has a band of gold iridescence with red flashes across the middle. Interior of bowl has rich gold iridescence shading to opaque yellow at the lip. Signed on the underside near the pontil “L.C.T. TIFFANY STUDIOS (ATTRIBUTED) WINDOW. Spectacular Tiffany window features center mother and child framed between two columns with water, mountain and sky in background. Mother is standing next to a pot of red flowers with a bowl on legs holding a fire on the other side. Woman’s face is beautifully painted and plated with clear glass with an amber tint. Baby is beautifully done and painted and plated with a wispy, almost opalescent glass giving the baby a veiled effect. Entire center portion of the window is plated giving great depth and three-dimensional effect to the window. Section below step on which woman stands has panel of glass angling backward and a second section angling forward giving greater three-dimensional effect to window. Companion to the recent lot, this magnificent window has figures of a soldier and a gentleman embracing framed between two columns with hills and turbulent sky in the background. The men’s faces are very nicely painted and plated with clear glass. Soldier’s robe is decorated with painted tassel design behind plated translucent glass. Sky and background are also plated giving great depth. Section below foreground has panel of glass angling backward and a second section angling forward giving greater three-dimensional effect to window. SIZE: 32” x 72”, not including frame. CONDITION: Some tight hairlines as well as some narrow outside border panels of red glass are missing. TIFFANY STUDIOS ARCHED WINDOW. Interesting three-part Tiffany window has arched design with grapevines and grape clusters against a mottled creamy white background. Grape clusters are comprised of red cabochon jewels while the grape leaves are done in mottled green and amber glass. The design is trimmed in rustic red panels which in turn are trimmed in light blue. Each of the three window parts is individually framed in contemporary cherry wood frames. While the window is not signed it is accompanied by two letters authenticating the window as Tiffany. One letter from Carl Heck Decorative Arts, the other from the late Dr. Egon Neustadt of the Museum of Tiffany Art. SIZE: Overall length including wood frames is approx. 92”. Extremely nice Tiffany Studios hanger has rich green geometric panel background with a band at the shoulder of green and amber swirling leaves finished with a geometric skirt. TIFFANY STUDIOS DESK LAMP. Bronze harp base with desirable green-brown-red patina finish supports a rare and unusual Fostoria art glass shade with zipper decoration. Shade carries after-market L.C. TIFFANY PRISM SCONCE. Brass wall sconce has nine beaded tassels that are suspended from a domed cap that leads to a single socket. TIFFANY STUDIOS DECORATED CUSHION BASE. Bronze begins with a 5” wheel that is supported by a 4” riser that extends up from a three-socket cluster. Supporting the cluster is a vertically ribbed and pineapple midsection that extends down into tendrils leading to more vertical ribbing and terminates with a large pineapple cushion base. Base is signed “Tiffany Studios New York D803” and also carries the Glass & Decorating logo. Base is also inscribed “Luxvicit Philippe Bunau-Varilla à John Bigelow Guerre de L’idee de Panama Contra Lidee de Nicaragua 1892 – 1902 Triomphe de Panama 19 Juin 1902”. Phillippe Bunau-Varilla was the Chief Engineer for the French Panama Canal Co. while John Bigelow whose history is listed below was a major supporter of the Panama Canal. TIFFANY-STYLE LAMP BASE. Rare cattail design lamp base has wide lily pad foot with cattails surrounding the body of the base. Base supports a shade ring as well as a four-socket cluster. This magnificent sterling presentation footed bowl with cast mounted detail swans on either side was presented to “Miss Henriette Applebee from the Employees of R. W. Smith & Co.”. The reverse depicting a winged cupid blacksmith forging a chain encompassed by a ribbon “January 6, 1875”. The bowl is marked on the underside “Tiffany & Co. 3692 Maker’s 4163 Sterling Silver 925-1000M”. Ms. Applebee was the daughter of Charlie Applebee who was aide to camp for Gen. Uylisses S. DESIRABLE HANDEL HAWAIIAN OVERLAY LAMP. This lovely nine-sided filigree overlay lamp is profusely decorated with palm tree filigree design on a mottled glass which when lit simulates an exquisite sunset hue. Shade is finished with a green “S” design or pattern that also compliments the design on the base. Original base has four sockets with acorn pulls and both the shade and base are signed “Handel”. LEADED & STAINED GLASS WINDOW WITH GEORGE WASHINGTON. Outstanding square framed window has a central rondel with George Washington bust. The outer borders decorated with carmel and purple slag, ripple glass and round colored bulls eyes. The outer most border in rectangular purple. PROVENANCE: Oral history indicates that it was made for the American Centennial. All done on a background of rich green leaves and brown branches. Beautiful shade sets atop a tree trunk base with nice green patination. Base supports a four-arm spider and two socket cluster. LEADED GLASS CHANDELIER. Outstanding chandelier has six geometric leaded glass panels with deep, rich stained glass with mottled colors of green, red and blue. The six large slag glass skirt panels are framed by heavy cast flower and leaf motifs. The large heavy chandelier is suspended by its original heavy bronze chain. Chandelier is illuminated by six socket cluster. The glass and leading in the chandelier as well as the hardware are reminiscent of that used by Duffner & Kimberly. SIZE: 29″ dia. LALIQUE PASSIFLORE CHANDELIER. Outstanding Lalique chandelier is in the shape of a round ball made up of five sided panels held together with bronze loops. GALLE VASE. Fantastic museum quality marquetry vase has inlaid flowers of red and cream which are in turn wheel-carved. GALLE MARQUETRY BOTTLE. Elaborately decorated marquetry bottle and stopper is internally decorated with muted yellow streaked irregularly with tangerine. The bottle is decorated overall with silver foil inclusions and is inlaid with polished abstract marquetry design in green, amber and gray. The shoulder has a very lightly etched spiral pattern. The elegant ridged stopper is pulled and curved reminiscent to a swan’s neck and head. Signed on the side with engraved signature “Gallé”. DAUM WHEEL CARVED VASE. Beautiful vase has white daisy-like flowers trapped between layers of clear glass with wheel-carving to make flowers more realistic with green leaves and brown vines. The vase shades from amethyst to lilac and is randomly decorated with martele diagonal panels. The neck of the vase has icicle design descending from the lip. Although the vase is signed on the underside with a very faint “Daum Nancy” and is pictured in Blount’s book French Cameo Glass, pg. 69, figure 90 we feel the design and workmanship are that of Burgun & Schverer. Vase is finished with a nice Art Nouveau design silver foot with flowers, leaves and stems extending upward on the vase. Flower design on foot matches that in the cameo design on the vase. HANDEL LEADED FLOOR LAMP. Wonderful Handel floor lamp features eight vertical panels comprised of alternating narrow and wide strips of carmel slag glass. The border of the shade has green slag glass behind a metal overlay design of interlocking circles. Each corner has a drop panel that is finished on each side with a cast metal floral design. Shade is signed with an applied tag “Handel”. The shade rests upon a bronze tone Handel floor base with bulbous four footed base. A vertically ribbed riser supports the four socket cluster. BURGUN & SCHVERER VASE. Beautiful internally decorated wheel-carved and gilded white flower decoration with green leaves on a purple background with wheel-carved martelé accents. Gilded rim and bronze patinated foot. Although this piece is unsigned, it is undoubtedly the work of Burgun & Schverer. It is possible that the bronze base was added at a later date and is equally possible that it was original in the making. Nonetheless it is truly a beautiful vase. SIZE: 13” t. REVERSE & OBVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP. Unique shade has autumn leaves painted on the reverse and obverse in lovely autumn earth tones. The interior of the shade is painted with a plain background with the leaves left exposed to give a three-dimensional feel and also allows light to shine brightly through the leaves and dulls the light transmission through the background. As a result you have vivid autumn leaves against a shadowy background. The exterior of the shade has a chipped ice finish. Shade rests atop an Art Nouveau gourd-shaped base with three light cluster. Unusual bronze lamp has decorated foot leading to floral-type stem which supports four arms, each ending in a green reticulated glass shade blown-out through a metal frame. Lamp base is unsigned but stamped “8076”. While we do not know the maker, we believe the lamp to be American. SIZE: 26” t. LEADED GLASS LOTUS LAMP. Interesting leaded glass lamp is done in the lotus pattern which was implemented by Tiffany. This of course is not Tiffany, but is a nicely done lamp in geometric panels of slag glass with shades of green and blue. Shade rests atop a bronze base with freeform saucer foot and ribbed riser leading to two-socket cluster. SIZE: Shade is 20” dia. Overall height is 20”. PAIR OF ART GLASS DRAGON LAMPS. Very unusual and highly decorative lamps have bronze base supported by three cast gargoyle feet. The stem has an Oriental design stamped bronze cover which gives way to a dragon neck and head holding the socket and shade ring in its mouth. The lamps are finished with art glass shades with raised pulled loop design finished in a blue and bronze iridescence. SIZE: Shades are 6” t. Overall height is 29-1/2”.
