Fine oil on canvas scene shows a mountain climber with ice pick atop a snow peak mountain overlooking tall peaks which poke through the cloud mass. The painting is signed lower right what possibly could be H.A. Hennins? or Fennins? The stretcher has a Bay State stretcher stamp and only a fragment of an exhibition label is seen. LARGE MAHOGANY TALL CASE CLOCK BY WATERBURY CLOCK COMPANY. Paper label on back indicates “Hall Clock No. 77”. The large case has three quarter fluted columns on all four corners. They taper up to a fine carved column top. The square top with cornice molding has decorative applied carving to frieze. Sides have panels and fretwork carving on sides of mechanism. The gold dial has two keyholes with moon dial and small inner dial. Two brass weights, winding key, pendulum, door key and one long tube present. PROVENANCE: Hugh Russell Estate. OUTSTANDING LION CARVED LIBRARY TABLE. Rectangular top table has heavily carved gadrooned edge. The frieze supports one drawer on each side with a faux drawer beside. The corners have square block carved decorations. The base has four large carved lions with open mouth and leaf scrolled backs. Ending in nicely carved claw feet. The hood with swan neck pediment has side reeded columns and decorative wood finials. The face in silver and brass is unmarked and has calendar dial and minute dial. Also a moon dial with landscape and seascape scenes. Coiled gong, brass works having two brass weights, pendulum, winding key and case key. ATTRIBUTED TO FOUJITA TSUGUJI (TSUGUHARA LEONARD) (Japanese, 1886-1968) VASE OF FLOWERS. Oil on canvas mounted on masonite still life scene shows a tapered blue banded white vase on a table with colorful flowers. Several flowers are seen lying on the tabletop. The vase of flowers is presented in front of a white window with hints of green drapes. Signed lower right “L Foujita”. SIZE: 28-1/2” x 21”. CONDITION: The painting has been cut off its stretcher and mounted on masonite. The stretcher with the remaining canvas sides has been attached to the masonite. The micro mosaic picture is encased in a metal form. REFERENCE: The Bridge of Sighs, located in Venice, Italy, received its name in the 17th Century because prisoners passed through it before they were incarcerated. FOUR PIECE PAINTED MARBLE TOP BEDROOM SUITE. The set consists of: bed, four drawer marble top chest with mirror, marble top commode and marble top wash stand. The set has dark blue paint with mustard highlights. The chest drawers are serpentine front and have a different landscape scene in an oval cartouche. Each shows land and water. There is also a colorful flower vine, which encircles all pieces. The commode and wash stand have similar hand painted panels. Headboard has colorful flower vine across crest. The four drawer chest has an oval mirror which attached to center of marble. The ears were found in barn and have lost most of the paint decoration. The mirror is intact. The commode has one door over two drawers and has a marble backsplash. The footboard has a large oval painting showing a landscape with cascading water from lake. SIZE: Bed is 73” inside dimension x 55” w (inside). Headboard is 47” h. Chest is 38” h x 43-1/2” w; Wash stand is 29-1/2” h x 31-1/2” w x 19” d; Commode is 35-1/2” h x 31-1/2” w x 18-1/2” d. Normanskill Creek is a stream that borders Albany and Bethlehem, New York and empties into the Hudson after flowing around the west side of Castle Island.
