OUTSTANDING AND RARE PAIR OF REPOUSSE THREE BRANCH CANDELABRAS BY TIFFANY & CO. Both marked on bottom of base “Tiffany & Co. 5992 Makers 5989 Sterling Silver 925-1000 M”. The candelabras in two parts with the top part having removable bobeches. The base supported by four claw feet and could be used singly. The decoration is repousse flowers and a feather design. A central compressed ribbed ball with bead decoration and candle cups with flowers and leaves. The top section having three candle cups; the side arms are curving swan heads decorated with applied leaves. AMERICAN QUARTERED OAK ELEVEN PIECE DINING ROOM SET, CIRCA 1910. Consisting of a square table with five leaves, a bow-front sideboard, a server, and eight carved chairs, including an armchair. The square table with beaded edge raised on five tapered cylindrical reeded legs with brass collared feet on casters, the outer legs joined by in-curve stretchers. The bow-front sideboard with leaf carved splash guard fitted with a pair of aligned drawers over a single drawer above a wine drawer flanked by cupboard doors raised on reeded cylindrical legs with brass collars. The server with carved splash guard, fitted with three aligned drawers, the centermost bowed raised on tapered cylindrical reeded legs headed by leaf tipped carved capitals and joined by a medial shelf with concave edge. The associated quarter sawn oak chairs with stepped tablet crest above pierced splats joined to the over-upholstered trapezoidal seat raised on saber legs. Of classical architectural form the pitched roof with carved tiles, the cornice mounted with an ormolu ribbon-tied mask above the fluted frieze with ormolu rosettes flanked by ormolu masks above engaged Corinthian columns centering the silvered and embossed gilt dial with Arabic chapter ring and strike dial, chime dial, and tempo dial. FINE LEADED STAINED GLASS ART NOUVEAU STYLE PLATED WINDOW. Vertical rectangular window has fine stained and slag glass pieces. Leading has been bronze colored and is of excellent quality. Motif has a central shaped leaded glass clear area surrounded by mottled blue with rose colored scroll decorated leaf motif. A multi edged border with a colorful inner border having multicolor lattice work. A new oak frame completes the window. All the windows have a central 12” circle all with different painted decorations. 1) Anchor and rope against a blue background surrounded by a red circle with orange sunburst against a multi-colored blue sky. Red and green outer bands. Broken orange ray with one outer band crack. 2) Central blue circle with lamb holding flag with cross and yellow halo. Two painted white and yellow pond lilies resting on a blue water background with amber and multicolor green leaves. There are several broken pieces and cracks. 3) Orange background with an open bible and bookmark with orange sunburst against a multi-colored blue sky and inset white bulls-eye, outer bands of green, red and amber. IMPORTANT AND RARE LABELED HUNT BOARD BY ALEXANDER ROUX. This important marble top huntboard having an original label attached to the back with his 479 Broadway, NYC address. The sideboard having a top section in two pieces, the upper crest being removable, and having a full-figured putti amongst grape vine, grapes, and leaves. The end of the vine has a fanciful stylized bird head. Below the crest is a small half round shelf supported by a grape cluster mounted to a vine and leaf support. The central deep carved relief panel depicting a goat lying on a rock outcropping flanked by wheat stocks and small bushes. The background having a mountain and rolling hill bass relief. Flanked by half round shelves with similar grape and vine motif. The whole back section supported by two front supports with scroll vine and leaf with hanging grape clusters. The sides supporting elements with similar design. This top section resting on the fitted “breche d’aleps” with dishtop molded edge on the conforming D-form base fitted with four aligned drawers, the handles of interwoven foliate vinery over four cupboard doors, the centermost pair with carved bow-tied allegorical swags of fruits, berries, sheaf’s of wheat, and broad-brimmed farmer’s hats, the bowed outer doors with scrolling sprays of carved nuts and fruit, all within shaped moldings and figured walnut panels raised on a conforming molded plinth. NOTE: A family receipt regarding the transfer of this piece in 1946 accompanies the lot, it is our understanding that the piece has never been out of the family. RINALDO DE RINALDI (Italian, 1793-1873) MONUMENTAL ANTIQUE MARBLE SCULPTURE, THE PENSIVE SHEPHERDESS. Outstanding antique and rare large carved marble semi-nude woman seated on a plinth covered by a sheep skin pelt. She holds a writing instrument in her right hand against a tree stump and contemplates with her hand at chin. The tree stump incorporates a shoot of growth with large berries and long leaves. Her hair has been braided and pulled up behind her head and she wears a headscarf which flows down her back. She wears a loose fitting dress which drapes down and is knotted below her chest. Her Shepherd’s crook is nestled between her and the stump. On the back of the plinth is script signed “R. Rinaldi Roma, 1852.” Rinaldi was born in Padoue, Italy. He was a sculptor only and the son of another known sculptor, Domenico Rinaldi. Rinaldo Rinaldi’s works appear in various museums including Liverpool, Padoue, Rome, Venice and others. He died July 1873 in Rome, Italy. The whole carved from one piece, outstanding detail includes the carving of the sheep, head area, and dress. PROVENANCE: Recently discovered in an old warehouse in New Hampshire and having been in storage there for many, many years. SIZE: 50”h x 24” dia at base. CONDITION: The surface has some mottled gray stains on shoulders and back area and with a textured and weathered surface. Some minor imperfections include the end of stylus missing at knuckle, several leaftips missing. LARGE CAST BRONZE INCENSE BURNER WITH COVER. Having golden patination and cast in several sections in four parts, the globular body set on a tall stem and stepped domed foot.
