Brass feet alternate between a stylized shell design and a classic scroll design and give way to a high relief scroll and leaf design running up the body of the lamp. Top of cast body is highlighted with lion’s heads and high relief shields. Brass font has vertical ribbed design on shoulder and gives way to a duplex burner. Wick knobs are marked “Duplex PA”. SPECTACULAR STAINED & LEADED GLASS WINDOW. Exceptionally fine window depicts woman in robes and headdress carrying a pitcher with mountains, sky and foliage in the background. Exceptional colors and use of plating techniques give dramatic depth and color to the window. The window was viewed many years ago by the late Bob Ogorek and he attributed the window to Lamb Studios. Though we can not verify that attribution, there is no question that this window was done by a truly accomplished stained glass artist. The window is inscribed at the bottom “BUM ANDENKEN AN MEINE LIEBEN ELTERN”. Window is framed in its own light box and the front is covered with plexi-glass for protection. NASTURTIUM TRELLIS HANGER. This lamp is truly an exciting new find. Although it is unsigned, the workmanship and glass are superb. Undoubtedly done by one of the finest studios or at least an extremely accomplished studio craftsman. The Nasturtium Trellis pattern is definitely one that was used by Tiffany Studios and similar examples can be found in numerous books on Tiffany lamps. Judging from the fine workmanship, the leading and the rich patina on the leading it is our belief that the lamp could very well be from Tiffany Studios or from Duffner & Kimberly. The eight panel shade has beautiful Nasturtium flowers in reds, yellows, pinks and blues against a light green background and very deep olive green trellis. The pattern repeats itself around the shade and flowers on the skirt create a slightly uneven border. The trellis extends beyond the end of the skirt at each corner. The shade is lit by a wonderful large six socket cluster and is hung from a heavy bronze chain made of oval links held together with round links. The large cap has applied stylized leaves in a Victorian design. SIZE: Shade is approx. 29″ dia from side to side and 31″ dia from corner to corner. TIFFANY STUDIOS PINE NEEDLE LAMP. Lamp begins with a leaded glass shade decorated in an allover pine needle pattern. The bent glass panels are striated with a multitude of earthen colors. When lit, the shade is spectacular. When the shade is unlit, it is also exceptionally nice because of the well-detailed pine needle filigree overlay. The shade is supported by a three-armed base of squat form. Outstanding patina all over. Double signed “Tiffany Studios New York” with the Tiffany Glass and Decorating logo. EARLY TIFFANY HANGER. Wonderful early hanging fixture has bronze rope twist wire frame bent in the shape of daisies with bronze ball centers. The wire frame holds a ribbed opalescent glass shade and is suspended from four bronze chains each having two white opal glass loops. The chains attach to a center four hook fixture at the top of a rod which drops the socket into the fixture. The piece is finished with a ceiling cap with bronze bead trim. A similar example is pictured in the book “Louis Comfort Tiffany” by Jacob Baal-Teshuva on page 236. Shade is unsigned but numbered “S4638”. SIZE: 12” dia. Overall height is approx. 30”. The outstanding base has a gold patina layered bronze foot with four individual extensions holding a beautiful glass insert. The favrile glass insert features gold pulled feathers, wave designs with purple, green and gold iridescence all against a beautiful clambroth background. The glass insert is topped with a bronze cap with beaded trim and applied bronze wire decoration with curled ends. The riser supports a three socket cluster. TIFFANY POINSETTIA TABLE LAMP. A truly outstanding Tiffany poinsettia shade has wonderfully mottled dichroic background glass surrounding finely executed poinsettias in rich deep reds, mottled pinks and purples. The border panel at the top shade ring and just below the poinsettia band is done in a nice contrasting mottled seafoam green. The deep red glass in the poinsettias is either very thick glass or plated in order to give the deep intensity of color. The shade sets atop a wonderful base, which rests atop four ball feet. RARE PAIRPOINT HANGING SHADE. Wonderful Pairpoint Chesterfield shade is reverse painted with scene of sheep, meadows, and homestead with a shepherd (Little Boy Blue) serenading the sheep as he plays his horn while sitting under a tree. The very top of the shade is painted in typical Pairpoint style with an Oriental rug design in rich reds, greens, and golds. This shade is extremely well painted and the subject matter is very rare. PAIRPOINT FARM SCENE LAMP. Wonderful Pairpoint Carlisle shade is obverse painted with a scene of a farmhouse, trees and flocks of birds in the sky, against a frosted background glass. The shade is then painted on the interior with a pink shading at the top of the shade. The resulting effect is a sunset sky. Similar shade is pictured in Malakoff’s book “Pairpoint Lamps” on page 125. Shade rests on simple Pairpoint four footed base with double socket cluster. DAUM CAMEO NAUTICAL LAMP. Exceptional Daum cameo lamp has cameo and enameled sailing ships against an internally decorated orange and yellow mottled body. Sailing ships are enameled in shades of brown and black with shadows to indicate a nighttime harbor scene. The foot of the lamp is decorated with cameo and enamel rocks extending out of the water. STEUBEN FIVE LILY LAMP. Beautiful five lily lamp has ornate bronze base with high relief acanthus leaves leading to the five lily stems. The bronze has rich brown patina with beautiful green highlights. The lamp is finished with five Steuben Verre de Soie shades. Each shade is nicely ribbed and has good iridescence showing flashes of green, purple and gold. SIZE: Shades are 5” l x 3” dia. Overall height of lamp is 15”. CONDITION: Shades have some minor roughness to fitter rims, which is concealed when the shades are in place, otherwise very good. GALLE ETUDE MARQUETRY VASE. Rare Galle vase has heavy smoky body with beautiful lavender marquetry flowers inlaid in the body of the vase. The wonderful marquetry vase is mounted in a heavy leaf form bronze foot. The bronze foot is signed on the underside “Galle”, while the glass vase is signed with etched signature “Galle”. The vase is also signed “Etude”. When being manufactured, many marquetry vases would form cracks in one or more layers of glass, due to the constant heating and re-heating of the glass. On rare occasions Galle would determine that a piece was of high enough artistic quality to warrant putting it on the market, even though it has some of this damage to the heating and re-heating process. HANDEL LEADED TABLE LAMP. Nice leaded shade has leaves, vines and clusters of grapes running from the shade ring down to the irregular lower border. The shade sets atop a simple Handel base with lightly ribbed body and three socket cluster. Shade has a tag on the inside “Handel”, while base is impressed on the bottom “Handel”. SIZE: Shade is 19-1/2” dia. Overall height is 25”. CONDITION: Heavy solder lines at shade ring and unevenness where ring meets shade leads us to believe that the shade ring may have been replaced. BRONZE SESSIONIST LAMP. Very interesting bronze lamp has cast bronze base in the shape of flowers, leaves and stems on the foot with leaves and stems wrapping their way up the neck of the lamp. PITTSBURGH REVERSE PAINTED SCENIC LAMP. The shade is a winter scenic painted in vivid hues of blue and yellow with earthen colors and a white ground. Scene on either side of shade is a cabin in the woods. The shade is supported by a simple base of Art Nouveau styling. SIZE: Shade is 18″ dia. Overall height is 21″. WEINER WERKSTATTE LAMP BASE. This very interesting pottery lamp base has three oval medallions with three-dimensional figures of women playing a banjo-type instrument. Each is brightly enameled in various colors and set against a black stippled background. The remainder of the bulbous body of the base has varying types of disk design. The ribbed neck has a center band of brightly colored enameled design. Lamp finishes with a two socket cluster. Signed under one medallion “WW 1910”. SIZE: 31” t. STEUBEN DOUBLE BANKER’S LAMP. Very nice double Banker’s lamp has gilt metal foot with reposse design with plain brass finish riser supporting double arms. The lamp is mounted with two Steuben gold aurene shades. Each shade is signed with Fleur de Lis mark. The lamp has double switches on the foot. SIZE: Shades are 6-1/2” dia. Overall height 22”.
