FINE DUMONTHIER COMBINATION KNIFE AND DOUBLE BARREL PERCUSSION PISTOL.

NSN. Cal. 36. This popular curiosa is made in France, circa 1850 with silver plated brass grip, 8-1/2″ sgl-fullered dagger point blade. The 2 fullers are made to fit 3-1/2″ bbls on either side. A quillon on either side can be pulled and cocked, exposing percussion nipple which also engages a folding trigger. The pistol was fire by pulling trigger once for right side, then trigger automatically re-sets and will fire second chamber. Accompanied by brown leather sheath with silver plated tip. CONDITION: Fine to very fine overall. Blade retains some orig luster, being overall a mottled silver/grey. Grip retains most of its silver plate with dark silver patina in protected areas.
