*SCARCE PARKER VHE GRADE 20 GAUGE SHOTGUN.SN 224842. Cal. 20 ga. 28″ Vulcan steel bbls. 3″ chambers. Chokes mod/full. Ivory mid bead, brass front bead on the full length matted and tapered rib. “0” frame. Dbl triggers, ejectors, non-automatic safety. Superbly replaced straight grip buttstock with nickel shield, checkered in 2-point pattern with 14-1/4″ LOP over proper Parker DHBP. Splinter forearm with Deeley release and steel tip, checkered in standard VHE pattern. Frame is engraved with “Parker Bros.” on both sides. All visible SN’s match. Bore diameter: left -.615, right – .615. Bore restrictions: left – .024, right – .021. Wall thickness: left – .029, right – .027. Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″;. WEIGHT: 6 lbs, 7 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as expertly restored. Bbls retain nearly all of an expert quality restored rust blue finish. The frame retains 80% properly restored case color. Engraving is quite sharp. The buttstock retains nearly all of its reddish hand rubbed finish. Long trigger guard tang with engraving and SN re-cut show traces of blue. Forearm has been restored. Bores excellent with a couple areas of minor orange peel. Mechanics are crisp though left ejector trips when the forend is removed. This gun would make a stunning fall hunting partner and the quality of the restoration work is excellent.
