*COLT 1911 CAL. 45 AUTOMATIC 1913 PRODUCTION PISTOL IN EXTREMELY ATTRACTIVE CONDITION.

SN 19015. Cal. 45. 5″ standard bbl. Metal parts fully blued with correct mid-early fine finish. All parts appear to be correct and orig with the exception of the bbl bushing, which is from a much later pistol and the magazine which is a two-tone lanyard loop which should be a keyhole type. Bbl is properly Sans Serif “H” marked on rear of hood. Slide left has 1911 last patent date and circled Rampant Colt at rear. Slide is Sans Serif “H” marked above firing pin stop plate. Short stubby hammer. Fully milled thumb safety. Milled slide stop with 1911 relief cut. Short tang grip safety. Flat mainspring housing. Long trigger. Front sight is narrow tapered. Rear sight is rounded with rnd notch and registration mark lines up properly. Bbl has proper longitudinal finish marks along the axis visible through ejection port. CONDITION: Overall, an extremely attractive 1913 pistol retaining most (95%) of its orig finish. Front grip strap shows erosion and minor pitting of finish. Mainspring housing shows considerable finish erosion. Slide shows almost no pitting. Frame retains most of the finish except for grip strap area. Butt of pistol shows rust and minor pitting. Stocks are in very good+ condition showing only slight flattening of diamonds. Screws show patina with slots in excellent+ condition. Mechanics are crisp. 52528-4 KXK (4,500-10,000) C&R – Lot 2235
