PAIR OF CHILD’S PAINTED AND CARVED ROCKING HORSES.Late 19th century, American. Carved from the same hand, each rendered with glass eyes and horsehair manes and tails fitted with leather saddles and harnesses and with leather ears. Rocker supports now absent. One a black horse, the other white with black markings. SIZE: 18-1/2″ h x 39″ l. CONDITION: The white horse with old shrinkage crack along left hindquarter. Black horse with 1″ sliver above right eye. Otherwise both remain structurally intact and solid with normal and expected in use wear. Each with soiling from long term storage.
