BIG BORE PERCUSSION PISTOL MARKED “LIMERICK” ON BARREL AND “RICHARDSON” ON LOCK.

NSN. Cal. 67. 4-1/2″ Ovate bbl with captive bridled steel ramrod, is engraved “Limerick” on top flat where normally an address is encountered. Lock with flat plate and back sliding safety, and flat faced serpentine hammer, shows details filed out and “RICHARDSON” engraved in (There are numerous Richardson gunmakers listed in America). European walnut stock with checkered bag grip is iron mounted and has stylized pineapple finial to trigger guard. CONDITION: Good, with traces of orig finish on bbl which is mostly a dark brown to gray patina matching lockplate. Stock retains most of what appears to be its orig finish with numerous light marks and an old repair running from back of lockplate into grip.
