*OUTSTANDING LOT OF TWO WALTHER OLYMPIA TARGET PISTOLS.

1) WALTHER 1975 OLYMPIA. SN 174. Cal. .22Short. Walther Model 1936 22 Short with Duraluminum slide with muzzle break and one bbl weight. 2-pc checkered walnut grips with appropriate 10 rnd 22 Short Walther mag. Blue finish overall with exception of slide, which is black annodized finish with white inlay highlighting Walther banner crown “N” proofs and cal .22 Short designation. A very rare and highly prized target pistol in any condition. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with slight edgewear but with over 95% finish remaining. Bore and mechanics are excellent. Rear sight has been highlighted with red paint. Walnut grips appear to have been chemically stripped of finish with some finish remaining in protected areas, but are otherwise excellent. C&R 2) WALTHER 1925 OLYMPIA. SN 4236. Cal. .22LR. 7-1/2″ part rnd bbl. Blue finish overall with crown “N” proofs. 2-pc checkered thumbrest stocks with 10 rnd capacity mag. Sport variation made without provision to accept bbl weights and has Drift adjustable rear sight This variation is sometimes known as the special Stoeger model when marketed by that corporation in the United States. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very fine with most blue finish remaining. Typical edgewear at muzzle and high points of sights and forward area of frame. Bore and mechanics are excellent with exception of slide hold open/safety fails to hold slide in rearward position. Checkered target stocks are very good with evidence of wear, but with no serious distress. Approximately 60% of the European varnish is no longer present.
